Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance required
- 3-5 years full cycle accounting experience in professional office setting required
- Advanced in Excel (advanced formulas, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Charts)
- Proven ability to work efficiently with spreadsheets and financial data
- Experience preparing and processing payroll for 100+ employees
- Technologically savvy, with ability to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
- Strong ability to track projects and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to ask questions and collaborate with team members
Responsibilities:
- Perform full cycle accounting, including extensive General Ledger (GL) work, reconciliations, and tie-outs
- Prepare and post recurring journal entries; manage fixed assets
- Retrieve bank information; reconcile monthly bank statements
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 105 employees, including wage changes, bonuses, and special payrolls using Paylocity
- Prepare payroll schedules, special calculations, and multi-site payroll reporting
- Track and process third-party short-term disability payments
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and quarterly tax reconciliations
- Compile financial statistics reports and assist with annual compensation process
- Complete annual abandoned property reporting and benefit salary calculations
- Update expense reports
- Review escrow requests/wires; act as backup for Accounts Payable/Escrow Coordinator
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 105 employees, including wage changes, bonuses, and special payrolls using Paylocity
- Prepare payroll schedules, special calculations, and multi-site payroll reporting
- Track and process third-party short-term disability payments
- Assist with workers' compensation, professional liability, and general business insurance renewals
- Prepare ad hoc spreadsheets and calculations, particularly for year-end and tax return support
- Assist with workers' compensation audit prep, annual budget preparation, and year-end accrual reversals
- Support year-end close and various schedules for tax return preparation
- Collaborate with Finance Manager on key priorities throughout the year
- Assist with various schedules for Tax Return preparation
